Nominate Someone You Admire Today

Each year industry innovators are awarded prizes from Meetings: Minnesota’s Hospitality Journal at our annual event.

Industry Innovator: An active member of your association who has moved the meeting and event industry forward by enhancing or exceeding association goals or missions, or the goals and missions of their own employers. This can involve anything from conceptualizing, coordinating or managing a single event to implementing long-term initiatives that effect change through the individual’s enthusiasm and entrepreneurialism.

Guidelines:
• Any member of an association is eligible to be recognized. Because submissions are determined by association board members, it is preferred that candidates do not hold a current board position.
• Each participating association’s board of directors must determine its own three finalists.
• Candidates do not have to hold a “meeting planning” title, per se. What’s most important is that you determine three finalists who have advanced the meetings and event industry and/or advanced the mission of your association in some capacity.
• Upon collection of these submissions, one winner will be chosen by Meetings: Minnesota’s Hospitality Journal’s own panel of judges.
• The individual winner will be recognized not only in front of his or her member peers, but also in front of members from all participating associations on the evening of February 3, 2009.
 • The winner will remain unannounced prior to the event. We encourage you to prompt these honorees to attend so they can publicly receive their recognition. All of the nominees will receive recognition at the event.

DEADLINE: Extended to Wednesday, January 7, 2009
